The importance of studying media studies is to understand the different types of media in the world. Learning about the different types of medias helps in knowing which one you consume the most. My favorite media product is Soundcloud. I consume it because I listen to music everyday and Soundcloud has the lesser ads than Spotify. It's engaging to someone in my age group because it has all kinds of music on it so, people would be able to listen to their favorite type of music. Three things I find interesting in Media Studies are the different types of media, the different terms used in explaining medias, and the process of filming.

The type of media product that I will documenting on this blog is a opening film. The type of film that I would like to create is a horror film. The film will be made for high schoolers because it may have fake blood, which is appropriate for the age group I have picked. I need to learn about the process of being able to film each shot and direct how I want them to turn out. I also need to learn about the different aspects in filming such as lighting, setting, storyline, etc. My film will be released in December of 2022.

In order to succeed in filmmaking I would need to have a storyline that attracts my audience. Another thing I would need is to be able to work with my team in order to make the film without any problems, in communication. I also would need to be able to write appealing things and show in my blog posts to get attention to the film I will be making. As well as posting images and behind the scene shots in my blog posts to attract people. These things will help me be successful in completing my Component 1 because if I achieve all of these things and successfully attract a decent sized audience than I will pass.
